The distribution grid in San Severino Marche is managed by ASSEM; it is connected to the national high voltage transmission grid thanks to a Primary Substation (PS). The grid is operated over an area of about 195 square kilometers.
The PS is based on two transformers, 25 MVA each, two Medium Voltage (MV) busbar and 10 MV feeder, for a total extension of about 180 km of MV lines.
Globally, more than 7.900 users are connected to the grid, for a total nominal power of more than 45.000 kW.
Moreover, more than 400 generation plant are connected to the MV and to the LV grid, for a total nominal power of about 28 MW, i.e. the penetration of medium/small generators from renewable sources (PV & Hydro) resulted to be very high.
